The beautiful Balearic island of Ibiza is one of Europe’s top holiday destinations for families and children. The island enjoys beautiful Mediterranean weather, and there are plenty of kid-friendly accommodations for families seeking Ibiza villas to rent for the week. Here are five of the island’s best destinations and attractions for family-friendly fun.

Cala Llonga
Ibiza is home to many beautiful beaches, but Cala Llonga is the best for the whole family. The Cala Llonga is sheltered from the ocean by a natural cove that makes the water gentle enough for small children. This popular beach is ideal for snorkelling, swimming and windsurfing. The beach is 200 meters long and 100 meters wide. Trampolines, jungle gyms and play areas are all accessible from the fenced-in beach. The waters are warm and calm from June through October. Shops and supermarkets are accessible from the beach, and beachside cafes offer snacks, drinks and light refreshments.

Can Marça Caves

This beautiful natural attraction located on the north shore of Ibiza is open for tours all year. The ancient limestone Can Marça Caves are one of the island’s most important attractions. Multilingual guides share the cave’s mysterious history as visitors wind past eerie stalagmites and stalactites formed over thousands of years. The cave was used by smugglers, and fossilized remains of extinct species reveal the cave’s ancient history. Music and light shows add to the ambiance of this spectacular subterranean attraction. Tours leave every 30 minutes in the winter and summer. Admission is €9 for adults and €5 for children.

The Fortified Dalt Vila
Located in the historic Ibiza Town, the medieval fortress of Dalt Vila is an official UNESCO World Heritage Site that features ancient cobblestone streets, labyrinthine passageways, hidden tunnels and lots of history. Dalt Vila hosts a medieval-themed fair every May and is open to visitors all year. There are plenty of restaurants, galleries and shops located in this historic area. The Museu Arqueològic d'Eivissa is one of the most important attractions in Dalt Vila. The archaeological museum is closed on Mondays and holidays. Admission is €2.40 for adults. Entry passes are free for children.
